New photos by Prabhat (Nimi Getter): “It is an alive and busy town trying to conjure a normal reality, such as known from any other big city in the western world.”
Tel Aviv is a bubble where privileged people can live oblivious to atrocities committed only a few miles away in any direction but west where the empty sea lies open and without judgment.
It is an alive and busy town trying to conjure a normal reality, such as known from any other big city in the western world, and often succeeds. There is money and restaurants, coffee shops and around-the-clock parties, art and music; it looks and feels normal, sane, but the costumes are sown with clumsy stitches and a sudden burst of wind can tear it apart in no time and lay it empty, trembling, ashamed.
