Subhan suggests that the next time we need to take a decision we try to listen to the body’s message
In a conversation a while back, some friends and I explored the meaning of the phrase, “I couldn’t stomach that.”
Everyone agreed that we’ve all had a feeling in the “pit” of our stomach that something wasn’t right.
And the phrase, “It’s my gut feeling” was also recognized as a ‘message’ from the body.
Something can strike us physically to go with something, or to not go with it.
And, in my case, I realized that, while the mind often distorts or exaggerates, the body never seems to distort what is happening. The body just doesn’t lie.
So it makes sense to explore what the gut or stomach is telling us by its actions. That requires us to slip down into the body, and experience what message it is giving us, as opposed to listening to and accepting what the mind is saying!
It’s a good way to not get stuck in the mind’s stories! And it helps to clarify what the next step could be!
If this rings true for you, why not give it a try the next time you’re trying to sort things out?
