Premniti

Her partner Ad’s words spoken at the funeral on Valentine’s day:

I have known my beloved partner, Premniti, for over 26 years and have received so much love from her.

She was a strong woman; she was able to support others, through her job as a social worker for instance. She was very interested in other people.

She loved community; it was there where she flourished the most. The community of Osho Leela in Dorset was a great medium for human contact in many possible ways. I loved to support her there.

She lived her life as fully as she could, despite her disabilities, thereby giving an example of authenticity to others.

Now she has passed over the threshold, leaving her body behind; and I strongly believe that there is a place for her spirit in eternity.

Let our spirit be one with Premniti’s spirit!

From Shruti:

I would very much like to add a picture (see above) taken about 5 years ago, when Vincent Priya came over from Auroville, India, to visit Premniti and Ad. I also joined that evening for dinner and chats.

Now that she has gone beyond, it becomes apparent to me how much our friendship meant to me. Premniti has been my friend, confidante, support worker, auntie to my younger daughter, and generous helper in difficult times.

In 1984, after meeting at Rajneeshpuram, Oregon, we exchanged sessions, living and working not far from each other, following many meetings at Leela, visiting each other and a trip to Germany together to celebrate my birthday with friends and family.

I remember distinctly how clearly she gave me instructions from a map to drive on the Autobahn and junctions – in a country she didn’t know and on the other side of the road! Trusted co-pilot.

She was a fabulous cook and ran the kitchen for the weekend.

At that time, with our group of ten, she walked a mile each way to a far-out restaurant as well.

Despite her challenges she knew how to live and laugh loudly.

Saying bye was lovely and sad and final.

Rest in Peace, beloved.
