A slide show of photos of Atit Maria’s terracotta sculptures, with a personal letter
Beloved,
On the occasion of Guru Purnima, I am sending you some photos of my latest sculptures.
For us seekers the date is a reminder of our true nature and that, as our beloved Osho kept repeating until his last days on Earth: “You are a Buddha!”
I really do not know why for so many years I have had this incessant urge to represent through my statues – in the best way I can and with the means at my disposal – this light within me. But I have understood that Beauty is a quality of the Divine and that we need to surround ourselves with beauty to remind us of who we really are: light… lightness… laughter… compassion… the Beyond…
I think we all have this need to express the most beautiful part of our beings in our own way and find deep fulfilment in doing so.
Sharing this truth is of great help and comfort to me.
And now let’s celebrate Guru Purnima and our BUDDHAHOOD!
