(30 July 1941 – 2 January 2025)
Dhyan Anadi (Ursula Tschanz Just) died peacefully in a retirement home in Langnau a.A., Switzerland, at the age of 83.
As second sibling, after brother Paul and before sister Verena, she grew up in Zurich but spent much time in the Grisons (Maienfeld and Scuol) where their parents were originally from.
She loved going to school and also to Catholic religious education classes. Her dream was, as it was that of one of her girlfriends, to travel as a missionary sister to Africa, a dream which eventually did not get fulfilled. She studied to become an accountant, then spent time in England and Geneva to improve her language skills. Back in Zurich she worked as a legal secretary.
In 1966 she got married to Paul Tschanz and, in 1972, a very lively and strong girl, Karen, became part of the family.
Her search for the meaning of life brought her to explore various teachings, ending in meeting Osho, where she found what she had so deeply searched for. With these new experiences and insights she embarked on a new career: she trained to become an art therapist, a profession she did with much joy and motivation.
After her beloved husband’s death, she enjoyed in particular the company of her much loved grandchild, Nicolai, as well as that of her daughter and all her siblings. As she was quite a loner by nature, she was less connected to the local sannyas community, despite Osho and meditation constituting a central part in her life.
