A short report from Jabalpur
Osho’s Mahaparinirvana Day was celebrated by his disciples with great fanfare in the Bhawartal Garden next to the Maulshree Tree where Osho attained enlightenment.
The celebrants were so involved in kirtan singing and dance that Swami Avinash Bharti, manager of the local Osho Ashram, later commented: “We could feel Osho’s presence very strongly.” And Ma Kiran Bharti said, “Osho is beyond birth and death. Even on his Samadhi it is engraved: Never born, never died. Only visited this Planet Earth between 11th December 1931 and 19th January 1990.”
Amongst them all, 91-year-old sannyasin Ageh Bharti was also dancing, with youthful enthusiasm. There was such a lively energy that visitors to the garden stopped and watched the celebration with great love and respect, many then joining in.
As reported earlier, the Jabalpur sannyasins are waiting for the Bhawartal Garden to be renamed ‘Osho International Park’. For this, Ageh Bharti, President of the International Osho Friends Association, has already submitted a written request to the Collector.
