The month of September begins with the Sun in Gate 40, Deliverance, and the Earth in Gate 37, Family, activating the Channel of Community 40-37, until the 3rd of the month. It is potentially an emotional start, or at least one marked by “tribal” themes, and places at the forefront values as loyalty, support, and respect for mutual bonds and boundaries.
- On the 4th, the Sun moves into Gate 64, Confusion, and meets the South Node in Gate 47, Realization, activating the Channel of Abstract Thinking 47-64. A marked shift in atmosphere that will lead us to consider more existential and collective issues (different from tribal ones)… Here, the pressure is on to find meaning in what happens to us, not only as individuals, but also as part of humanity…
- On the 5th, Uranus, still in Gate 20, the Now, turns retrograde, joining Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto.
- In the background, from the beginning of the month until the 11th, the Channel of Mutation, 3-60, will continue to be activated by Chiron in Gate 3, Beginning, and Pluto in Gate 60, Limitation. Thus, the field of mutative and initiatory energy generated by the imposed limitations that characterized the latter part of August persists, perhaps forcing us to reckon with something longing to emerge, but lacking the strength yet. Perhaps the transits of the next few days will bring the necessary momentum…
- On the 10th, the Moon in Gate 42, Increase, meets Jupiter in Gate 53, New Beginnings, to form the Channel of Cycles, 42-53. From the 12th to the 17th, the same channel will be activated by Chiron, moving to Gate 42, and again by Jupiter. This transit, less dramatic yet more dynamic than the previous one (3-60), could trigger the cycle of experiences “imagined” in recent weeks… Pay attention to what’s coming up on the horizon, especially for those over 50, for whom Chiron’s transits are more relevant and significant.
If any of you were wondering about the difference between the Beginning of Gate 3 and the New Beginnings of Gate 53, Gate 3 (Difficulty at the Beginning in the I Ching) represents the primordial moment when order begins to emerge from chaos, a pure beginning that is still unstable and uncertain. It is the energy of something emerging from nothing, needing to find its own structure in order to grow. Gate 53 (Development in the I Ching), on the other hand, expresses the deep-seated drive to begin a new cycle, not from nothing, but with an implicit sense of direction, ready to evolve through various stages till it comes to an end. - On the 18th, Jupiter leaves Gate 53 and enters Gate 62, Expressed Details, bringing its warm energy to the center of the Throat, while Saturn leaves Gate 25, Innocence, on the 24th and enters Gate 36, Crisis, bringing back some of the darkness we left behind last February and which will linger until January 2026. But don’t worry: these are just experiences to be lived and lived through, exercising our ability to observe, without detaching ourselves from feeling… It’s a great advantage in times like these to be meditators…
