I’ve been going to London many times over the years but when I arrived in London this past July I was overwhelmed by the abundance of flowers around the city. The city seemed aflame with celebration. Not only for Pride which was about to explode but no matter where you went a feeling of joy pervaded the air.

Now, next on to Paris…

I always look forward to returning to Paris. I expected the frenzied excitement that I had experienced in London. Paris was quiet, enjoying the last few days before the onslaught of the Olympics. I was only there for 3 days but managed to see the Louis Vuitton Foundation in the Bois de Boulogne, the stunning architecture of Galeries Lafayette, the peaceful retreat of the Luxembourg gardens and a hike up to Sacré-Cœur. And of course a few stops at my favorite eateries.
