One of the most striking features of July is the strong concentration of energy in the Throat Center. Mars, Uranus, Mercury and Jupiter all occupy this center throughout the month, emphasizing communication, expression, manifestation and the ability to have a tangible impact on reality. From July 13 onward, the Sun joins them, adding even more emphasis to these themes.
At the same time, some of the month’s most important activations take place along the pathway connecting the Root and Emotional Centers, creating a powerful emotional undercurrent. June 28 – Mars leaves Taurus, moving from the final degrees of Gate 8, Contribution, into Gate 20, The Now.

On July 7, Neptune also turns retrograde, making this a channel defined by two retrograde planets.

After the more introspective and revision-oriented atmosphere of the first half of the month, this channel once again supports mental clarity, organization and the ability to give structure to ideas and insights. July 19–24 – The Channel of Mutation, 3–60, becomes active through Chiron in Gate 3, Beginning, and the Earth in Gate 60, Limitation.
This is one of the most important configurations of the month for those over fifty who have connections to these Gates and the signs associated with them. Mutation does not occur through force but through adaptation to new conditions. What initially appears to be a limitation may ultimately become the doorway to an entirely new possibility.
July 23 – Mercury ends its retrograde motion.
Many of us will breathe a sigh of relief. Matters that have remained unresolved during the previous weeks can gradually begin to move forward with greater clarity and momentum.
July 23–30 – The Channel of Money, 21–45, becomes active through Mars in Gate 45, Gathering Together, and Saturn in Gate 21, Control. On July 27, Saturn turns retrograde.
Material matters once again move into the spotlight. Resources, finances, responsibilities and authority require attention and may lead to important decisions. If possible, it may be wise to conclude key matters before Saturn stations retrograde.
July 25 – The Lunar Nodes shift from the 55–59 axis, Abundance and Intimacy, to the 30–29 axis, between Gate 30, Desire, and Gate 29, Commitment.
The collective atmosphere changes noticeably. Attention moves away from emotional bonding and toward the relationship between vision, desire, dedication and the willingness to fully commit to what truly matters.
From July 25 onward – The Channel of Recognition, 30–41, becomes active through the North Node in Gate 30, Desire, and retrograde Pluto in Gate 41, Imagination. This channel will remain active until November 23.
This is likely to become one of the defining themes of the second half of the year, together with Jupiter’s move into Leo. The Channel of Recognition brings together desire and imagination, creating a powerful evolutionary tension toward new experiences and new possibilities. Supported by Pluto, its influence unfolds slowly but profoundly, guiding the collective through a process of transformation that may take many months to fully reveal its effects.
July therefore emerges as a month filled with movement and change despite the braking influence of Mercury and Neptune. It alternates periods of planning and review with phases of rapid acceleration. The simultaneous presence of so much energy in the Throat Center, combined with significant emotional activations, creates a particularly vibrant mix in which communication, desire, organization and transformation continually interact.
The first half of the month emphasizes review, planning and understanding. During the second half, material concerns, mutation and the new evolutionary axis of the Lunar Nodes become increasingly prominent.
