Watching is the key, writes Subhan.
Most of us are living a very needy life.
We need love, and approval and acceptance, and kindness from others. We need their attention.
And, that’s because we have lost touch with our innate worthiness that is always there, and is shrouded by the mind and its wants and needs.
The way out of this neediness is to watch the mind’s neediness. Just experiencing how the mind behaves is the beginning of the end of neediness.
Then, remember to find the source of what you’re looking for within you, rather than… out there.
And still, it once again becomes painful when you forget that inner source, and are identified with the mind that needs these from others.
Watching is the key. It’s a knack that all of us are capable of doing. In fact it isn’t really a doing. Rather, it is a connection with a watchfulness that is always there.
May you be blessed with the experience of… watching!
